Beyond this Privacy Policy, your use of our Services is also subject to our End-User License Agreement. Section 1 - Information You Provide to Us

Registration and Profile Information.

When you sign up for a user account or register to use our Services, we ask you for your Personal Information, including your name, email, date of birth, address, phone number, and pilot license information ("Registration Information").

Pilot and Student Pilot Information.

We may ask you for your date of birth, nationality, gender, and emergency contact information on behalf of organisations that use our Services. Additionally, to help remind you of expiration and pilot currency dates, you can provide us with pilot currency information, such as type rating expiration date, medical expiration date, medical certificate number, medical certificate type, ratings, and other associated information. Some organisations will ask for other information to be collected on their behalf.

Communications with Us.

We may receive additional Personal Information about you if you contact us directly. For example, when you contact us for support, we may receive your name, email address, phone number, and any additional information you choose to provide. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will receive your email address. If you fill out our optional questionnaire, we may receive Personal Information and information regarding your interests and needs.

Content That You Provide Through Our Services.

We collect and store content you post, send, receive, and share via our Services. This content includes any information about you that you may choose to include. Content also includes any files and links you choose to upload to our Services.

Payment Information.

When you make a payment to Plogbook, or to one of the organisations that uses our service, your credit card information, debit card information, billing information, and any other financial information necessary to complete your payment ("Payment Information") is processed by our third-party payment processors (for example, Stripe), we do not collect, store, or process your Payment Information. For more information, please see the 'Section 3 - Payment Processing' below.

Audio and Video Information.

With your consent, our Services may request access to the camera and microphone on your device. This information is used to provide our Services to you (e.g., collecting hobbs and tachograph readings, and images as part of our defect reporting service).

Section 2 - Information We Automatically Collect When You Use Our Services

Usage Information.

To help us understand how you use our Services and to help us improve it, we automatically receive information about your interactions with our Services, such as the pages or other content you view, the searches you conduct, and the dates and times of your visits.

Device Information.

We collect information about the device and software you use to access our Services, including IP address, web browser type, operating system version, and device identifiers - including unique device identifiers.

Location Information.

When you use our Services, we may infer your general location information. For example, your IP address may indicate your general geographic region. We use this data to provide features of our Services and to improve and customise our Services.

Analytics Partners.

We use analytics services such as Google Analytics to collect and process certain analytics data. These services may also collect information about your use of other websites, apps, and online resources. Flying Organisations.

If you register with an aircraft syndicate, flying club, flight school, or similar organisation ("Flying Organisation"), we may receive your Personal Information from the Flying Organisation, including reservation information, documents, emergency contact information, profile photo, photo identification, pilot certificate, medical certificate, pilots license details.

Section 5 - How We Use the Information We Collect

We use the Personal Information we collect:
  • To provide, update, maintain, and enhance our services;
  • To test and develop new products, services, and features;
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Services when you choose to do so;
  • For marketing and advertising purposes, such as developing and providing promotional and advertising materials that may be relevant, valuable, or otherwise of interest to you;
  • To facilitate transactions and payments;
  • To communicate with you, provide you with updates and other information relating to our Services, provide information that you request, respond to comments and questions, and otherwise provide customer support;

We may access, preserve, and disclose your Personal Information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: (i) comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, (ii) respond to your requests, or (iii) protect your, our, or others' rights, property, or safety. To avoid doubt, the disclosure of your Personal Information may occur if you post any objectionable content on or through our Services.

Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers

We may disclose and transfer your Personal Information to service providers, advisors, potential transactional partners, or other third parties in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a corporate transaction in which we are acquired by or merged with another company, or we sell, liquidate, or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets.
